After many iterations of a 3d printed drill bit index, this is the one that I am finally content with.
This drill index is for those of you who, like me, need to keep more than one of each size of each drill bit, but don't need a 20 square acre $5000 Hoyt cabinet taking up half their work bench. It takes into consideration storage density, modularity, stack-ability, and 3d printability.
Each drill slot has a raised feature allowing you to press down on one end of the drill bits, teetering the opposing end upward, for easy extraction.
Raised letters clearly indicates where each drill lives, and there are provisions for center drills, miscellaneous drills, and other random cutters.
This drill index starts at 1/16" and works its way through fractional, number, and letter drills up to 1/2".
Also included is a tray for left handed drill bits.
I use this index in my Lista cabinet, but it is a great solution in a Kennedy or other box in your shop.
It utilizes the standard gridfinity base that lays in the bottom of your drawer, giving you a modular grid to place and stack all sorts of organizational goodness atop of. (grid download also included in package)
I printed this all on my Bambu Lab P1S in a few days.
I have a lot of time into this iteration, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
UPON PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH THE FILES FOR DOWNLOAD
